Ear Piercings at Claire's
Hello Lovelies,
I recently had my ears pierced at Claire's and for those of you who are interested in getting your own piercings done, here's what it was like.
On a whole, the experience was nothing but delightful! Especially compared to the last time I got my ears pierced. I was nine years old and I remember it being a terrifying experience. It took place in a dark and scary jewelry store and the lady who did them told me to, "stop crying immediately!" which only made me want to ball even more.
Years later, Ayesha and I decided to get three new piercings each! We went to Claire's to get them done because we'd heard that it was free and of course it gave us a great excuse to go shopping afterwards.
When we arrived at Claire's, we were greeted by the assistant manager or 'Piercing Princess' as she preferred to be called. FYI, she even put on fairy wings which made all the pent up nerves disappear! I went first and was given the Claire Bear to hug. It kind of brought me back to being nine again, except this time I was totally unphased by the possible pain to follow. Thanks, Claire Bear!
Before the piercings took place, Piercing Princess gave us a rundown of the piercing method and the cleaning process thereafter, to make sure we were fully prepared for the commitment. It all felt super professional but relaxed at the same time, which I think's great especially for those who are afraid of needles.
I got my left cartridge pierced as well as an extra hole in each ear. Honestly, the 'pain' felt like a joke because it was really no big deal. Ayesha even described the pain was a 'nice sore', which I thought was hilarious - maybe I was on a sugar high from the lolly pop I was given after mine were done.
We were super chuffed with our new piercings and I immediately felt a new found confidence. I must admit the piercings took a bit of getting used to, especially when sleeping at night because any pressure can cause pain. But I kept cleaning my ears three times a day and after a week the pain disappeared. However, even though they are not sore anymore I still need to clean them.
So if you are thinking of getting your ears done, I highly recommend Claire's! Because I think it's super important to get them done somewhere safe and reliable.
