Hello loveies!
I posted a video last Friday where I revealed something about myself which you may or may not have already noticed. I've been trying hard to hide it for the last few months. Maybe you and I both share this problem. The problem being: MY BAD SKIN
Call me a little nerdy, but having dealt with spots for just about AGES I decided to write a poem expressing my aggravation. I turned it into a bit of a rap in my video and I had to cut it down somewhat. So for the fun of it - here is the full version:
Once, when I was twelve,
I spotted a spot on my forehead.
I cried "NO SPOT! GO AWAY" but soon I realised you were here to stay
I've dealt with your comings
And dealt with goings
Taken a pill
Tested your will
I've cursed at you and cried at you
I've washed you off and scrubbed you down
I've covered you up and squished you out
But most of all I've wished you out
Why did you choose this face to sprout
Were there not other places to display your clout?
Why choose my skin
For you're pimples to win
Why take this long
To sing your song
Get off get out
I want to look good
Go away get going
Stay away from this hood
When I look fresh through a lens
Maybe then we'll be friends
But while you're around
I'm gonna stand my ground
I've decided it's time
To try a more drastic mode
It's been decided
You're my next upload
If you haven't already watched my video here are some tips and tricks that help me deal with bad skin:
-
Take exercise. Anything from running around, taking a swim or even standing on your head will help to activate your lymphatic system which carries clear liquid alongside your body's veins and arteries. The clogging up of this liquid is what causes pimples, so some of us need to help this liquid circulate! Exercise also encourages you to drink more water which is vital for healthy skin.
-
Wash your skin but don't go crazy with the facial products! Use a soft soap and stick to natural skin products like tea tree.
3. If you're skin is really making you miserable I encourage you to visit a GP or skin specialist. Depending on how old you are and you're family's medical history they might recommended the pill. However it can take up to six months for your skin to clear and some people worry about the health risks. After a lot of consideration I have started taking the pill again as it worked wonders last time.

You're skin has a lot to do with your health! So try to stay away from those wonderful fried or fatty foods. There are wonderful healthy ways of eating and drinking that will improve both your body and your mind. Also, try to cut down on dairy. Rice milk is my favourite alternative!
-
When you're feeling self concious wear make up! I use a mac concealer and foundation.
So now you know my little secret. I'm hope this post will either make you feel less alone or serve as gentle reminder that nobody is perfect. Although the media still pushes the idea of beauty as slim and blemish free – there is a new type of industry emerging, especially on the internet, that encourages people to be themselves. So this is me!
Love From,
Theo
P.S. I'll admit that I was apprensive about uploading my latest video but now I'm overwhelmed by your kind response. Thank you all so much for being loving!
