Kiehl's Skincare Review
Hello Lovelies,
I received a gift from Kiehl's a few weeks ago and felt like sharing my experiences. These gifts came at the perfect time, I was fully consumed in beginning-of-the-year chaos and my skin's wellbeing was regrettably getting neglected.
Thankfully Kiehl's gifted me the Super Fluid UV Defence Sunscreen - an important skincare product for someone like me, who is often outdoors in the sunny Southern Hemisphere. I have been looking for an everyday sunscreen, something strong enough to protect me, but doesn't feel like I have a thick layer of paste on my face. This sunscreen is light and non-greasy and great to put on under makeup. It's a little on the pricey side at $38, but when it comes to antioxidant creams, you usually have to pay for quality. I think it's better to invest in good creams now than pay for the damage later.
Next up is the Midnight Recovery Concentrate which I put on last night after a night out with friends and thank goodness I did. After a long day of two applications of makeup, my skin usually feels dry and tired the next morning. But not this morning! I love essential oils and this miracle formula is packed with deliciously smelling and soothing oils. Just apply 2-3 drops (that's one of the best things about this formula, you don't have to use lots at a time, so it lasts for ages!) in the evening and your skin will feel incredible in the morning.
The Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque is my new weekly face treat. I like to run a bubble bath, light some candles, apply the masque and read a book. It does that satisfying drying thing on your face (with Amazonian white clay, oatmeal and aloe vera) and you feel the deep pore cleanse but it doesn't burn like many other deep masques. When you rinse it off, you're skin does that baby soft thing and you feel instantly revitalized. I would also recommend cutting up some cucumber for the eyes for proper R&R.
Finally, the Ultra Face Cream - or should I say the Moisture Depletion Combatter - is a must! It hydrates your skin with the perfect water-oil balance, so it doesn't make your face feel greasy. I like to put this on before applying foundation and find it helps my face to breathe under the makeup throughout the day.
So THANK-YOU Kiehl's for reminding me of the importance of skincare and inspiring me to give time each day to appreciate myself and my skin.
Have you tried any of these products and if so how did you find them? I'd love to hear from you in the comment section below!
Lots of love,
Theo
